Fashion Week Preparation

I cannot comprehend how much I am stressing and freaking out right now about Wednesday. I know it's only one day compared to some other photographers who are doing the whole week but for me this is just such a big deal. Scored my first big gig for shooting and covering a fashion show and I can't believe it's the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. It's been all over the tv, newspapers I just keep hearing it everywhere and then it hits me that hey, i'm going to be there in that media pit fighting for the best shots. I'm not even sure if I'm ready for this despite all the hype I've given it! I know I have to find the strength though, I have to find the courage, determination and positive attitude I know I possess to really make the most of that day.

Business cards were printed off today (still have to try print more off tomorrow) and I have to prepare myself for approaching people, showing them who I am and what I can do in who knows what could be just a 10 second encounter and a business card! First impressions really do make a big difference and they definitely will on Wednesday. WOW! A FASHION SHOW I'M GOING TO BE SHOOTING A FASHION SHOW WITH AN ACCREDITATION PASS AND EVERYTHING I can't even FATHOM how this happened in such a short time! Only a few months ago I was still deciding if I was even going to start going down this road of photography but I'm so glad I did because it's led me to this.

I have to organize all the things I'm bringing and right now I have nothing to write it on so might as well write it here:
- Camera
- Extra battery pack
- External flash + batteries
- Laptop
- POSSIBLY camera charger
- Bottle of water + snack
- Business cards
I think that's it? Oh dear and I also have to choose my clothes... haha oh the pressures of looking good at an event dedicated to fashion and looking good, I'm not even famous and I'm stressing!

Alright I need to calm myself now, cleared all my memory cards and off to do some R&R, ill keep you updated lovelies!
