Went out to the city to chill with my sister while my parents went on their anniversary lunch at Fort Dennison. The musician picture is JackManFriday who is a busker and musician you should definitely be looking out for if you're in the city (especially Pitt St).

Self Portraits

If you know me, you'd know I HATE being in front of the camera (even though I wish more than anything I could look pretty in front of it)! I just detest seeing my really awkward attempts at posing or the derps that instead come up. For the past week I've been trying to pluck up the courage to take some self-portraits because all good photographers should be able to take lovely photos of themselves. I failed thrice with some horrific attempts but today, I managed to get ONE photo! And i'm super happy that I did just because it feels great to succeed in what you've been attempting to do! I've added the multiple edits I was playing around with so you can see them all as well :) Much love <3

I cannot STRESS how much I love hanging out with my friends, especially this girl Lucy. I've been friends with this girl since we were awkward 13 year olds with no idea when to press the stop button on the way home and now here we are with her wanting to take a break from studying, me wanting to photograph her and still having no idea when to press the stop button. We also ended up kind of matching wearing black dresses. We couldn't have picked a more PERFECT day to go out, the sun was out and it was such a beautiful day in the city.
We got lost in the city trying to get to Tom n Tom's, a lovely Korean cafe, and it took us almost 1 and a half hours to find it when we were literally 2 minutes away from it haha. BUT it was worth it because we made pitstops off at T2, Kinokuniya (which Lucy couldn't spell) and many shops to exercise our great window shopping skills. Finally when we arrived we ate good brunch type food and then headed over to Hyde Park to take some nice photos! Also, I decided to do my street style photos :)
Seriously, I enjoyed this day so much because being with Lucy is so comfortable. And not to mention, she's BEAUTIFUL.
OH AND PS: The last two photos I took free-lensing! I got the idea off of Julia Trotti, who is my inspiration for fashion photography and just photography in general!
